Minnesota State Fair 2023 Repeater Announced
Minnesota State Fair Ham Radio Repeater
Summer is coming to an end and that can only mean one thing — the Great Minnesota Get-Together, the Minnesota State Fair, is right around the corner. If you’re a ham radio operator and plan on attending the fair, we’re excited to announce an official Minnesota State Fair recommended repeater. John Czech, KA0KMJ, has graciously offered to host this activity on the 444.425 repeater. This will allow you to connect and talk with other hams at the State Fair, and others not in attendance who may want to listen to the chatter from one of Minnesota’s largest events.
Fairgoers are encouraged to hop on and talk-in and use the system as much as they’d like once at the fairgrounds — that’s why it’s on the air! The repeater is located just a couple miles southwest of the fairgrounds and offers rock-solid HT coverage at the fair and wide coverage across the entire Twin Cities metro and beyond.
Coverage is excellent across the entire fairgrounds and extending well outside the 494/694 loop. Don’t be shy in using it – that’s why it’s there!
Let’s program our radios and prepare to hit the Great Minnesota Get-Together!
